The Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida

The Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida Is:

  • Multidisciplinary. Research shows that the most effective treatment for disordered eating includes a treatment team of a variety of healthcare providers. Our membership includes physicians, dietitians, social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists and psychologists dedicated to the effective treatment of those with eating disorders. Our membership also includes activists and loved ones of those effected who are passionate about the cause of eating disorders: promoting awareness and supporting treatment.
  • Collaborative. The Network is strongly committed to the professional development of its members via leadership positions, peer support and referral opportunities in the treatment of those with eating disorders.
  • Educational. Members benefit from continuing education opportunities, case consultations and a listserv to increase professional awareness and competencies in the treatment of eating disorders.
  • Nonprofit. EDNCF is supported solely by fundraising and private/business donations.

Marnie Davis, MA, LMHC, CEDS
Marnie Davis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Certified EMDR Therapist practicing in the Orlando area. Marnie is the President of the Central Florida IAEDP Chapter and has been a board member for the Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida for the past 7 years, helping to coordinate the annual eating disorder awareness walk in Orlando raising money for treatment scholarships for those in need. She has a private practice in Maitland, FL where she specializes in in the treatment of eating disorders, body image, trauma and co-occurring issues. Marnie has dedicated much of her professional life towards advocacy, prevention, education and empowerment of individuals. Marnie has previously developed and implemented a prevention program entitled 'Healthy Beauty in Every Body' across the Central Florida area bringing awareness to disordered eating and promoting freedom from unrealistic body ideals. Marnie holds social justice in high regard. She is an ally to those in the LGBT-Q and other target communities, standing in solidarity with those who are oppressed.
